  • said that if he could travel to duckburg he would like to quietly sit in the park and feed the pigeons there
  • upholds the sadly neglected tradition of the Old Man Support Hold
  • actually got himself a dogsona for his self-portrait instead of envisioning himself as a human interacting with fictional ducks

“vicar’s favourite ducks: donald and scrooge”

he. is. valid.

He also met Donald in a story.

self-inserts are the most valid thing of them all.

barks once said that he thought vicar was a better artist than he was and vicar laughed “uncertain whether it was with satisfaction or nervousness” absolute most valid creature to ever walk this godforsaken earth

donald is going on 70, vicar is going on 70. you seem to have spent much of your lives walking side by side. any well wishes for him or yourself?

the duck needs no well wishes, really; it has an iron constitution and is always stumbling from one adventure into the next. no matter how many stairs it falls down or how many gallons of water it swallows.

the duck is happy with its nephews and time cannot touch it. it will live on as long as there are children, big and small ones. my own continued good health is not as certain as the duck’s, but i do hope to keep walking alongside it for much longer because it brings me great joy.
