Chapter 10: Merry Christmas to all…

Fic Summary:

(Side-installment of @rebellingstagnationblog’s “A Very Merry Geronimo Christmas” in her “Geronimo” series.)

Christmas is… complicated. It’s always complicated with Negaduck. Especially when Gosalyn was involved. Especially since he went missing for years on end. Especially since Quiverwing Quack had rebuilt the Negaverse in his absence. Especially since her life began to grow onward without him.

And especially since no one in the dual-universes had time for the recently, and brutally, tortured duck.

Disclaimer: @rebellingstagnationblog is a super amazing person, and has allowed me to publish a few one-shots of my own handling how Negaduck copes with Christmas this year when the others don’t have time for him and his recent physical/psychological torture. This does take place in her “Geronimo” universe, so you should probably read that first. Heck, you should read that anyway. It’s a great series.

Rated T for physical/psychological torture and other unsightly characters.

No additional warnings for Chapter 10

7 AM EST: Fighting Headcanons

Chatting with @indecisive-llama and developed some headcanons about the fighting styles in 7 AM EST.

Diver: Being a skilled and highly trained stunt duck with a nasty, violent temper, Diver is an offensive fighter. He’s a destructive force of excellent training and focused power, and is easily the best fighter of the group. His training includes most every kind of weapon and beyond-advanced hand-to-hand, but he prefers close-range combat as he’s best at short, fierce blows that he sequences together. Gosalyn would have called him a “combo fighter”. Like with his niece, bow and arrow helped him develop his ability to focus and switch mindsets in the middle of a high-stress situation, and remained an almost meditative sport that he kept up in his spare time. Diver’s intense training meant he was able to fight and keep up mentally, a unique combination. He likes bats and crowbars and bo staffs, and anything that lets him get his hands on the opponents. Or close enough to try.

Drake: Drake fights big and tough. He’s the most honorable fighter among them, and sticks to the rules of combat, counting on precision and in outlasting his opponents. He is a perfectionist. This makes him a wall of defense, and he can outlast the others by absorbing and reversing attacks. His bigger, wider stature makes him the physically strongest, and he’s perfectly happy to wait for the opponent to open themselves up first, and then attack. As a trained athlete he is impressively fast and agile, but heavier than the others. He was more of a mental fighter than a physical fighter. Drake keeps his hands off his opponents as much as possible.

Gosalyn: Gosalyn is a disaster. She was trained by her dad in advanced hand-to-hand and basic weapons training, but in the face of a fight she can easily be blinded by adrenaline and excitement. Drake and sports have done wonders to help her keep focus during this fog, and bow and arrow from Uncle Driver are the missing piece to exercising – and executing – patience. While definitely the most athletically gifted, Gosalyn is no where near the strongest, so she uses weapons to fight for her – and to Gosalyn, EVERYTHING is a weapon. Scarfs, frying pans, hockey sticks, paintings. Her speed and unpredictability is her strong suit, but she needs to keep honing her energy and focus those forces. When she is focused, her energy, speed, and agility are enough to take even her uncle down, though Drake does find her predictability predictable. She is a purely physical fighter. Gosalyn is able to get her hands on her opponents but isn’t sure what to do when she does so, so she lets her weapons handle them for her.

“A glance at Negaduck before their new visitor came in made her blood run cold. His eyes were blown wide in terror and he’d scooted as far back on the cot as he could.

Oh, this guy was dead.”

I’ve gushed a lot about @rebellingstagnationblog‘s Darkwing Duck series, Geromino, probably way too much, but it’s simply outstanding. However, I’ve since learned that her original character, Stellar, didn’t have any kind of fanart or image yet, so I was honored with the chance to make the first.

If you like Gosalyn, Negaduck, or especially both, check out RS’s series.

The Studio of Darkwing Duck

Chapter 14: Healing of St. Canard

Fic Summary: “Daring. Bold. Heroic.” All words that described Darkwing Duck, a show that was considered the Prime of children’s Saturday Morning Cartoons for its full three years of running. That is, until everything went wrong. The conspiracies starting flowing, the gossip started spreading, and among the turbulent times and insider magazines, Darkwing Duck’s lead actor, head writer, and original visionary, Drake Mallard, quite suddenly vanished. Now, five years later, something, or someone, is trying to bring Drake Mallard, and Darkwing Duck, back into the spotlight and resurrect the old show and character, a duo that Drake, more than anyone, wants to keep dead.

Chapter Summary: After the tragedy of the studio fire and fight, recovery and healing has to happen.

rubbersoles19: Benji Jamison Character Sheet

rubbersoles19:

Benji Jamison Character Sheet

So @delta-toons wanted me and a bunch of other Christian duck fans to send them our OCs for a collage image, and since I’ve never created an OC for anything duckverse (I’ve only been in the duckverse for a few months) I decided to draw my beagle, Benji, as if she was in the duckverse.

Bio:

  • Female American Beagle
  • 22 years old
  • Only child
  • Countless “adopted” siblings / children
  • “Mom friend”
  • Interests are organizing, taking pictures, and collecting different knick-knacks, cold weather
  • Favorite things are unique fabrics / textures, stuffed animals, new Instagram filters, making jewelry
  • Favorite colors are purple and pink
  • Hates being late, loosing track of time, loosing things
  • Not particularly emotional or talented, but trust-worthy and dependable
  • Benji is quiet and unassuming, and isn’t known to show extreme emotion. She isn’t particularly shy, but keeps to her herself. Benj is the definition of “mom friend” who takes care of everyone around her, keeping them fed and happy. She can occasionally take a great photograph, but doesn’t display any great talent.
  • Her college major is administration / management, because she is very good at organizing and keeping organized.

6 Years of Drake and Diver Going on Their Annual Junior Woodchuck Camping Trip

So I wanted to doodle these bros as little babies. Then I kept doodling camping fun and at some point I realized, they don’t have woods in St. Canard. But then I remembered that Drake is a Boy Scout in the show (which is basically Junior Woodchucks), so I figured him and Drake would do so together, and they’d have to head out of St. Canard at some point to really do so.

i just wanted to practice drawing diver’s stripes they are so adorable
