Today’s mood dictated drawing Scrooge in the rain, so here it is. Made while listening to the myNoise Distant Thunder soundscape.
A sad headcanon to go with it, that’s not really supported in canon (but that’s the fun of these things, isn’t it ;P )– You ever stop to think about how much being Scrooge McDuck just might get to him? He’s not one to stop and reflect on himself very often, but there are times when it does, and I wonder if in those times, if the weight of everything ever comes up. He’s been on the top for so long, that The Richest Duck in the World is practically his identity now. Bringing the clan glory, being the last of the clan and all the pressures that comes with that. And it’s arguable he achieved the glory long ago, but staying on top is about all he knows now.
Coupled with the stresses of competition, attention, age, and health, there are times where it’s debatable if it’s even worth it anymore. Everyone knows him as The Richest, but who can really know him as Scrooge?
And the funny thing is, with the times he’s lost his way, falling into spite and bitterness, pettiness, things so far from the good heart he has…. Does Scrooge even know Scrooge anymore…
Born of a desire to draw Scrooge and Goldie dancing together (/distant strings of “Shut Up and Dance”). I kinda meshed together a couple of Goldie’s different looks, and I’m not sure it works but the whole thing came out so well otherwise that I just can’t argue.
New pirate OC for an upcoming DnD session, using the duck-inspired custom race created by @cybra-sensei, as well as this homebrew Pirate class for further inspiration. His name at the moment is Macgakke (last name pending), and his spotting is inspired by the Ancona duck. Look for a colored version sometime, probably drawn digitally rather than photographed from my sketchpad like this one was XD
It’s kinda messy but I’ve been wanting to draw Scrooge in the white spats from the original NES game, so here we go. Pose mostly from the walk cycle in it or Remastered, though I couldn’t get the near arm to work so I just stuck it behind him since he always does that anyway >_> Reds, blues, and oranges sampled from the sprite itself, though specific shades altered as needed.
Sidenote the first: You ever notice how he only uses the cane to walk about 2% of the time
Sidenote the second: Have you ever watched the walk cycle in Remastered? I mean look at this cute:
WIP of a drawing my mood isn’t letting me finish, but that I wanted to share nonetheless. It’s technically an Inktober in that it’s ink and it’s October, but I’m so far behind it might as well be “a drawing” by this point. Cropped a little close but I wanted to leave out the uglier parts of the background >_> I might redraw this digitially later, to get something I can play around with easier.
