WIP of a drawing my mood isn’t letting me finish, but that I wanted to share nonetheless. It’s technically an Inktober in that it’s ink and it’s October, but I’m so far behind it might as well be “a drawing” by this point. Cropped a little close but I wanted to leave out the uglier parts of the background >_> I might redraw this digitially later, to get something I can play around with easier.
Starting off my panel redraw set are Inktober 11 and 12, plus source panels. The first one is from On A Silver Platter, and the second one is from The Black Knight Glorps Again and Land Beneath the Ground.
In order this is Inktober 8, 2, 10, and 9, with respective links to their covers. These will also mark the last ones I’m doing that’re cover redraws, barring a couple planned later. The rest of Inktober will be cap and panel redraws, since picking covers was always difficult |D Which is why I fell behind, sigh.
RIP my gold marker. I tried to color correct what I could, but… eh.
Inktober #7, which took me the better part of yesterday and today to complete, plus a couple detail shots. There is a version that I tried some digital shading on, but I didn’t like how it looked so I left it off. Watch me color this someday, once I get over being tired of messing with it >.>
This is, of course, the cover to Guardians of the Lost Library. Now I’ve just got…. four more drawings to do and I’ll be all caught up with Inktober |D
Inktober #6, posted a few days late but oh well. I probably don’t have to say which cover this came off of, but here it is anyway ;3
Inktober Day 4 and Day 5. Day 4′s is this cover of Super Picsou Géant #61, and Day 5′s is this classic cover from Uncle Scrooge #14.
Inktober #3. A different Scrooge comic cover a day, and this day’s was this Tio Patinhas cover.
Inktober #1. I was going to follow a prompts list but couldn’t drum up any ideas and, still feeling pretty lousy after the past few days, wanted to draw something familiar. So I decided on a rendition of one of my favorite covers.
I don’t actually have a scanner so this is another photograph, but with some proper editing this time. And I might do covers for every day of Inktober, or at least multiple days if not all of them. We’ll see what happens~
Getting in on the OC action with a concept sketch here. His name’s Duncan and he’s a cardinal that likes to spend his time exploring lakes, rivers, ponds, swamps, etc. He’s constantly exploring waterways and finding all sorts of interesting animals, shells, stones, sticks, whatever else strikes his fancy.
This has led to the nickname “Dismal Duncan” which catches people off guard because they expect him to be sour or depressed, but NAH. He’s actually pretty friendly. The nickname’s because one of his favorite places to explore is the Dismal Swamp and… nobody can quite figure out why.
(For the record he doesn’t mind the nickname, he likes the alliteration and besides, can’t even argue with it~)
This is 10000% self-indulgent but you know sometimes, you have to draw yourself
being comforted by hanging out with your favorite character.
In case you’re curious, the story being discussed is The Money Well.
